Free the Canadian Archivist!

From a statement by the Canadian Library Association:

(Ottawa, March 22, 2013) - The Canadian Library Association urges Library and Archives Canada to revisit its Code of Conduct in order to strike a more even balance between the duty of loyalty to the Government of Canada that all public servants have and the freedom of expression that is imperative to the work of librarians in a strong democracy.

I've written about  the LAC's new code of conduct on a previous occasion. Arguably, the code not only infringes free speech, it encourages ogling.  Arguably.

this govt gets more bizarre every week, I cannot think how they keep their stories straight anymore on whats allowed and whats not. Good thing they all have handlers. Harper is good for bureacratic job creation I guess.
